(WICHITA, Kan.) — Rosie Duling says that ever since she got the news, her life turned upside down.

"It's a parent's worst nightmare, and I can't wake up," she says. Her daughter, Kathleen died in a car accident Thursday morning. She was on her way back to Pittsburgh State, where she just declared her major. She was 19 years old.

"The last words I said to her was 'I love you.' She said 'I love you too.' So I hold that very cherished in my heart that those were the last words we spoke."

Rosie says she'll smile whenever she remembers Kathleen, whenever she remembers the smile the girl who brought so much joy to her family.
