{OMAHA, Neb.} — Creighton scored two runs in the first inning and it turns out that's all they would need as the Blue Jays beat Wichita State 3-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament championhip game.

The lone bright spot for Wichita State was catcher Chris O'Brien who finishes the season with a 29 game hitting streak and the lone RBI in the championship game.

The NCAA selection show is set for this coming Monday but it is expected that the Shockers, for the second year in a row, will not play in an NCAA regional.
