(WICHITA, Kan.) — The Wichita Garden Show is going out of business and selling everything off.
Organizers say they have about 5,000 different items to sell. You'll be able to buy everything from office supplies to wood used to build sets.
The Garden Show is shutting down after 44 years because of the economy. The fear is that exhibitors will not be able to create the large gardens they have in the past. Those gardens can cost an exhibitor $50,000 to $140,000.
"We're sorry to see it shut down," said Alex Lingg, Wichita Garden Show organizer, "Particularlly those of us who are opposed to it. We've had a great outcry of people from exhibitors and people of wichita are very regretful to see it shut down."
The sale starts Thursday at the Wichita Garden Show office, 1024 N. West Street. The office will be open Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m..
