Storm Team 12: A heat break!!

June 27, 2011|By Meteorologist Rodney Price | Storm Team 12

The sky continues to have an orange-tint to it today as smoke from the New Mexico fires drift over southern Kansas.  Look for gusty northerly winds today and the best news of all: a cooler day across Kansas!  Highs will be in the 80s and 90s today, down from the numerous triple digit readings we saw on Sunday.

Tuesday will be in the 80s and 90s again...but the heat will be back for Wednesday and through the rest of the work week.
