Pick the names for two white tigers at Tanganyika

July 06, 2011|By Rebecca Zepick White | KWCH 12 Eyewitness News

(GODDARD, Kan.) — “Very rambunctious…feisty,” said Ryan Stevenson, of the two baby white tiger cubs at Tanganyika Wildlife Park.

The baby white tigers are growing up and at two-and-a-half months, it’s time to give these two girls a name.

“The white one would definitely have to be Snowflake,” said Bethany Neufeld, a visitor to the park from Newton.

Visitors to Tanganyika Wildlife Park on Wednesday peered through the window to watch the two baby tiger cubs play. They agreed it was time to give the cubs a name but had different ideas about what the names should be.

“Cutie…And what?...Sunshine,” said Lairren Wells who was visiting the park Wednesday with her family from Los Angles California.

The tigers are now starting to eat meat and in a few weeks will be big enough to leave the animal nursery and move to larger exhibits.

Tanganika park directors provided KWCH a list of names for you to choose from. You can go to KWCH.com and vote for your favorite tiger names.
