(WICHITA, Kan.) — For the second year in a row, classic cars and motorcycles will invade Wichita for the BlackTop Nationals.
New events will help expand the car show in its second year in the Air Capital. In 2010 the event in and around Century II attracted some 140,000 people. Organizers expect it to attract just as many people this year.
The event runs from Friday, Aug. 26, through Sunday, Aug. 28. There will be car shows, vendors, dealers, food and live entertainment. New this year will be cars for sale in a car corral.
"If you look around on any given weekend you'll see multiple car shows going on. People love to show their cars, trucks and motorcycles," said BlackTop Nationals President Rick Nuckolls. "They're works of ar, great American works of art, and people like to show them, people like to see them and it kind of becomes a way of social life."
