(WICHITA, Kan.) — Sunflower Broadcasting, Inc., the parent company of KWCH and KSCW, today announced the launch of 4:00 and 9:00 p.m. newscasts airing on KSCW TV beginning September 12, 2011.
The KWCH 12 Eyewitness News team will produce 30-minute newscasts, anchored by KWCH's Cindy Klose at 4:00 and Roger Cornish at 9:00. The newscasts will highlight local news and weather, national headlines, breaking news, sports and daily features.
“We are the news and information leader throughout the day, on-air and online,” said Chad Cross, Sunflower News Director. “Now, we’re providing even more options, so viewers can get their news when they want it,” added Cross.
KSCW now carries Eyewitness News from 7-9 AM each weekday morning, and airs the “Catch It Kansas Show” on Friday nights at 11 PM. All of the local news and sports programming on both KWCH and KSCW airs in full high definition. (KSCW airs in HD over-the-air and on Dish and Direct on channel 33 and on Cox on 2005.)
