{WICHITA, Kan.} — Former Wichita Heights standout running back Dreamius Smith has committed to play football for the Butler Grizzlies next fall.
Originally Smith was heading to the University of Kansas to play for Turner Gill and the Jayhawks but he did not make the required score on his ACT.
Grizzlies head coach Troy Morrel told Eyewitness Sports this afternoon that Smith visited both Hutchinson Community College and Butler before finally deciding on the Grizzlies. Coach Morrel is elated by the signing and says, "We are very excited and happy to have him. I expect him to be a great addition to our team."
Smith is playing in this weekend's Shrine Bowl. We'll have the latest updates on the air and online.
