Kansas City, MO — Alex Gordon and Billy Butler both hit their 16th homers of the season in a four run third inning of a 5-4 decision, as the Royals salavaged a win in the of a three game series with the Yankees. Kansas City got six strong innings from starter Bruce Chen who won for a staff high eighth time this season. Third baseman Mike Moustakis had three hits in the win.
The Royals split the seasons six game series with the Yankees and now welcome Boston to town for four starting tomorrow
