August 30, 2011|By Robert Marin | KWCH 12 Eyewitness News

(SALINA, Kan.) — A California man charged with a double homicide in Salina pleads no contest to charges of second degree murder and manslaughter.

The plea means that Terrance Watson will avoid a capital murder trial in the September 2008 deaths of Taryn Dechant and Ernest Jones, Jr. The two were shot and killed at a Salina apartment.

According to our news partners at The Salina Journal, in the plea agreement, the state will recommend a prison sentence of 14 years and 8 months for Watson.
