Reno county officials confirmed a fatal accident Tuesday afternoon between a dump truck and a car.

At 3:19 p.m. Reno County Deputies were sent to a two vehicle crash at K96 highway and Fairview Road, west of Nickerson, Kansas.

When Deputies arrived, they found a 1995 Mack Dump truck in the south ditch and a 2003 Chevy Malibu on its top in the north ditch.

At this time the Reno County authorities say the investigation indicates that the Chevy was west bound and crossed the center line and struck the east bound dump truck.  After impact the vehicle rolled and came to rest in the north ditch.
