(HAYS, Kan.) — A plane makes a hard landing on the runway of the Hays Airport Tuesday. The airplane hooked a wing and flipped.
The Hays public works director says the pilot and passenger got out safely and weren't hurt. The Kansas Highway Patrol spent the evening investigating the cause of the crash.
The airport will reopen the main runway when the investigation is complete. Planes will land on an alternate runway until then.
