K-State vs. West Virginia game to be televised on ESPN2

WICHITA, Kan. — The 2011 Wichita Wildcat Classic game time has been set for 8:00 p.m. The neutral site event featuring Kansas State and West Virginia men's basketball will be broadcast on ESPN 2 Thursday, December 8th at Wichita"s INTRUST Bank Arena.

Tickets for the event will be available for purchase beginning tomorrow, September 9th at 10:00 a.m. at "http://www.paintwichitapurple.com/">www.paintwichitapurple.com or http://www.selectaseat.com www.selectaseat.com.

The game will be the first meeting between K-State and Bob Huggins since the former Wildcats coach left for West Virginia in 2007.

Huggins will be taking on his former assistant and good friend Frank Martin. Martin coached under Huggins during the 2006-07 season, Huggins' lone year in Manhattan.

"The game should be a tremendous matchup, said Martin. "It gives us the opportunity to bring Bob Huggins, the man who brought us all to K-State, back to the state of Kansas. I think it will be a great experience for K-State and our basketball program."
