Storm Team 12: Warming trend kicks in

September 10, 2011|By Meteorologist Ross Janssen

The evening showers will come to a close as the skies begin clearing out overnight.

We'll see a brief change in our weather for the next few days as warmer air pushes back across the central Plains. High temperatures will get close to 90 in the west for Sunday, but almost everyone should see 90+ temperatures for Monday afternoon as gusty south/southwest winds return.

The warmup will be brief this week as another strong, Canadian cold front drops through Kansas on Tuesday, setting us up for much cooler temperatures and maybe some much needed rainfall by the middle of the week. Best chance for rain should come in Wednesday night into Thursday.
