In the wake of a cold front, temperatures will be quite chilly tonight as high pressure sets up over the central US. North winds will go down and lows will drop into the upper 30s for northwest Kansas.
Sunshine is expected for Friday along with seasonal fall temperatures. Afternoon temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s with the wind turning to the south over western Kansas. It will not be as windy on Friday as it was Thursday afternoon.
Dry weather continues for the central US through the weekend with warming temperatures expected for Saturday and Sunday.
