Storm Team 12: Heavy rain threat for some

October 08, 2011|By Meteorologist Rodney Price

Showers continue across central Kansas this evening.  A few thunderstorms will be possible too but no severe weather is anticipated at this time.  Tonight's lows will be in the 40s and 50s west, with 60s in the east.

More showers and isolated storms will be on tap for mainly central and eastern Kansas on Sunday.  The clouds and rain will keep temperatures mainly in the 60s and 70s.

While severe weather is not a big concern like Friday night, the threat of locally heavy rainfall will be present over parts of central Kansas.  Some rainfall amounts between 1-3 inches (with some locally heavier reports) will be possible before all is said and done Monday morning
