Murder charges filed in Decatur County

(DECATUR COUNTY, Kan.) — A 24-year-old from Oberlin is charged with first-degree-murder. On Tuesday, the Attorney General filed charges for the death of 22-year-old Corey Cook.  Cook was found shot inside a Oberlin home October 15th.

Dylan Coryell is accused of killing Cook. He is charged with murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. He's in the Decatur County jail and is being held on a $500,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for October 28.

The AG did not release any specific details about what led to the shooting. The Decatur County Attorney asked for the AG's help in prosecuting the case.
