#8 K-State preps for #9 Oklahoma

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) - — Bill Snyder and Bob Stoops are plenty familiar.

Kansas State's head coach gave the current Sooners coach his first big break when he hired him to help turn around the Wildcats' moribund football program.

The two went their separate ways in the late 1990s, with Stoops winning a national championship at Oklahoma. But they've run into each other several times since, including the 2003 Big 12 title game, when Snyder's Wildcats stunned the top-ranked Sooners.

They'll meet again Saturday with a lot on the line.

No. 10 Kansas State is undefeated and still in the national title hunt, while the 11th-ranked Sooners will be trying to rebound from their first loss last weekend against Texas Tech.
