Kansas Securities Commission suspends Wichita investment advisor

(TOPEKA, Kan.) — The Kansas Securities Commissioner suspends a Wichita investment advisor for failing to comply with a request for information the state.

Investigators say Eric T. Burns worked for Dimensions Financial Group from Nov. 2007 to March 2011, then with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney from August 2011 to October 2011.

The Kansas Securities Commission says it received a complaint alleging Burns misappropriated client funds while with Dimensions. Investigators say Burns failed to comply with requests from the office of the Kansas Securities Commissioner to obtain information.
