(WICHITA, Kan.) — The Wichita State Shockers will take to the court at INTRUST Bank Arena Friday night.
The Shocks will take on the University of Alabama at Birmingham for the first time since 2007.
“This game should be another great matchup for our basketball team. We have increased our schedule strength over the past couple of years and this game is another indication of our dedication to this practice.” said Gregg Marshall, head coach of Wichita State, in a press release. “It gives us the opportunity to play post-season tournament competition and will continue to prepare us for the Missouri Valley Conference.”
The Shockers played at INTRUST Bank Arena in December of 2010 against Tulsa. The arena played host to the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament, as well.
