(SALINA, Kan.) — Salina police say they have arrested seven people as part of a major methamphetamine bust.
Investigators with the I-135/I-70 Drug Task Force tell our news partners at The Salina Journal they seized more than three pounds of meth Sunday during a bust on what they call an illegal drug distribution ring. Officials say they worked along with state and federal law enforcement agencies.
Task force commander Lt. Jim Norton tells the Journal the arrests come as part of a six-week investigation into the distribution of meth around Salina. Norton says he expects the case to be referred for federal prosecution.
