Wichita collecting Santa letters

December 05, 2011|By Eyewitness News

(WICHITA, Kan.) — The City of Wichita is teaming up with the North Pole to collect letters for Santa and give away early Christmas presents that include a ride on a Wichita fire truck.

From now through Dec. 14, children ages 12 and under are invited to drop off their letters at Century II (Concert Hall entrance) CityArts, Old Cowtown Museum and the Mid-America All-Indian Center. Children who include a return address and stamp on the outside of their envelopes will also receive a response from Santa Claus himself.

All kids who participate will be automatically entered in the gift giveway. One grand prize winner will be selected from all participants to receive a ride to school on a Wichita fire truck. Other prizes include a free youth art class at CityArts, family memberships to Cowtown and the Indian Center and a gift certificate for four to attend an upcoming performance at Century II.
