(MARION COUNTY, Kan.) — A Peabody man is sentenced to life in prison for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
Terry Bowen, 64, was found guilty of two counts of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated kidnapping in June of 2011 in Marion County district court.
On Wednesday, Bowen was sentenced to life without parole under the state's aggravated habitual sex offender statute.
Two other people were convicted in the case. Lora Gay, 38, of Peabody, was sentenced to more than 25 years in prison, and Kenneth Frederick, 22, of Peabody, was sentenced to more than 20 years in prison.
