(WICHITA, Kan.) — It takes a lot of digging and searching to match hundreds of presents, but students and faculty at Friends University don't give up.  For the last 19 years, they've spent the day before finals giving back to their community.

Hundreds of Falcons moved presents into pile that are spread across 65,000 square feet.  “We bring all the gifts over here to the tapers and then we bring them over here in a pile for the little kids,” says Jacqueline Dean, student at Friends University.

“Somebody has to sort all that out and put them in such a way that families can be served,” says TJ Arant, President of Friends University.  It's a big project that all feel happy to be a part of.

“I know that there are a lot of children in Wichita and the surrounding areas who won't have a Christmas and this is a great way to give them a Christmas,” said Ashley Myers, staff member at Friends University.

It's also a great way to give back.  “It makes you feel better helping kids out,” says Dean.

“It goes fast when you have a lot of people working” Heidi Hoskinson, Associate-Vice President of Academic Affairs.

“We hope that 11000 thousand kids have a great Christmas and feel like Santa has visited them,” says Arant.

To make Christmas better for the community.
