Kansas looks to bounce back at USC

{LOS ANGELES, Cali} — It's a game that most Jayhawks fans would rather forget, but also one that Kansas Jayhawks players need to remember so they can avoid repeating their mistakes.

The Jayhawks (7-3) will play the team's first true road game of the season Thursday night at the University of Southern California (5-7).  Kansas lost to Davidson this past Monday, 80-74, at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.  Playing from behind for the entire game Bill Self's team could never make the comeback happen.

Kansas' Thomas Robinson was solid in that loss to Davidson, however, scoring 21 points and pulling down 18 rebounds.  In fact, Robinson is the only Big 12 player currently averaging a double-double (18.1 points, 12.1 rebounds per game).  Robinson has had the hot hand lately scoring at least 20 points in the Jayhawks' last three games.

U.S.C. is coming off a win against future Big 12 conference member TCU.  The Trojans are led by sophomore guard Maurice Jones who is averaging just over 15 points per game.

Kansas leads the overall series with USC 10-5 with KU coming out victorious in the last 6 matchups.  Many Kansas fans remember last year's thriller at Allen Fieldhouse when Josh Selby hit the game-winning three to keep the streak in tact as KU beat the Trojans 70-68.

Thursday night's game starts at 10 pm Central time.
