Shockers dominate Braves in Valley opener

(PEORIA, Ill.) — Wichita State (10-2) won its 8th straight game Wednesday night when they obligerated Bradley (5-8) 90 to 51 at Carver Arena in Peoria.

Garrett Stutz paced the Shockers with 14 points while Toure Murry and Joe Ragland each scored 12.  Carl Hall was also in double-figures scoring for Wichita State as he added 10 points.  Stutz recorded a double-double, pulling down 10 boards as well.

The Shockers scored their first 14 points in the paint and finished the night with a whopping 48 points in the paint.  The Shockers also had 26 second chance points, 21 points off turnovers and 31 points off the bench.

The lone positive for Bradley was the performance of Taylor Brown.  He led the Braves with 19 points.

Wichita State is back at Koch Arena this coming Saturday hosting Creighton at 7 pm.
