It will be a chilly start to 2012. We expect plenty of sunshine to kick off the new year and a lot less wind. Winds will continue to diminish across central Kansas through mid-afternoon with highs in the lower to middle 40s. A cold night on tap across Kansas, with clear skies and light winds temperatures will dorp into the teens and low 20s most locations.
Monday looks to be the coolest day of the week with highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s statewide. A nice rebound takes place Tuesday through Thursday with highs warming into the 50s...even a few 60s by Thursday! Conditions should cool down a bit on Friday and then more so early next weekend as another cold front makes its way through the state. In addition, the forecast looks dry for the first week of the new year.
