(EVANSVILLE, Ind.) — Garrett Stutz scored 29 points in Wichita State's 67-66 victory over Evansville Wednesday night.
Evansville's Kenneth Harris missed the first of two free throws in the final seconds, but missed the second.
Garrett Stutz had 29 points and 10 rebounds in the win, Carl Hall had 16. Colt Ryan of Evansville had 33.
Evansville started the game trading baskets with the Shockers (11-3, 2-1 MVC) before WSU pulled away before halftime.
The second half was much more of a back and forth, with Evansville tying the game at 40 before both teams traded buckets, again.
The Shockers improve to 11-3 overall and 2-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
