(WICHITA, Kan) — Wichitans: Need to fill out a police report, share tips or contact your area police patrol? There's an app for that.

You can use the app to send tips anonymously, find a substation, ask questions, look up department contacts and keep up with the latest WPD social media updates.
The police department has been very proactive in connecting with the community via social media networks said Officer Jerod Metcalf. “The Department continues to develop ways to interact with the public, the My Police Department application is the latest avenue of communication.”
The application is free and can be downloaded through the Android Market and on iTunes. Search for "My Police Department" to download the "My Police Department", then set the app to display information from the Wichita Police Department.
