(WICHITA, Kan.) — One person is rushed to the hospital in serious condition after a rollover crash west of I-235 & Zoo Boulevard.

Wichita police tell us a driver was headed north on Windmill Road but, for some reason, when he got to Zoo Blvd, he failed to negotiate the turn.

Police say it doesn't appear he was speeding, but he went through the intersection, down the west bank of the Wichita/Valley Center Floodway and struck a railroad bridge and natural gas pipeline.

There was no major damage to the pipeline or the bridge.

He was pinned in the vehicle when crews got there. They got him out and rushed him to the hospital in critical condition.  His condition was later upgraded to serious.

No one else was hurt.  Police are looking into whether he suffered some sort of medical condition that caused the wreck.
