(WICHITA, Kan.) — Two people are arrested, accused of stealing a car that belongs to a Butler County Sheriff's deputy early this morning.

According to police, a Butler County Deputy had his personal vehicle stolen from Derby.  An off-duty Sedgwick County Deputy noticed that vehicle just minutes after it was reported stolen.

The suspects led police on a chase that ended at 32nd Street South and Bonn after officers used spike strips to stop the vehicle.

A man and woman in the car were arrested.

Authorities were concerned because the deputy's firearm was missing, they weren't sure if it was in the vehicle or if the suspects had it.
