Storm Team 12: Some moisture and cooler temps

February 17, 2012|By Meteorologist Rodney Price | Storm Team 12

Clouds will thicken tonight across much of Kansas.  Some light rain and flurries will be possible, especially in the central and southern parts of the state.  No icy travel is anticipated at this time amounts will be light.  Lows tonight will be in the teens northwest, to the 20s and 30s elsewhere.

After a bit of light morning rain in the Wichita area, we'll see skies turn mostly cloudy.  More sunshine will be found in the northern and western areas of the state along with cooler temperatures.  Highs will be in the lower to middle 40s.

Sunday will be a very pleasant day with more sunshine and highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s.  Clouds will thicken up Sunday and Monday as the next round of precipitation moves into the region.  While a light wintry mix will be possible in the west, the moisture should fall as rain in the east.  Highs will top out in the 40s and 50s.

Milder temperatures will work in toward the middle of the work week.
