(WICHITA, Kan.) — With two wins to finish the regular season, the Wichita State Men's Basketball Team has moved up several spots in the national rankings.
Wichita State (24-4) is now ranked #14 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll and #15 in the AP Top 25.
Last week, the team was at #19 in both polls.
The Shockers are the regular season Missouri Valley Conference Champions. They go into the MVC Tournament, which begins Thursday, as No. 1 seed for the third time (1981, 2006). Wichita State hasn't won the MVC Tournament since it moved toSt. Louis in 1991.
There are now two Missouri Valley teams in the national rankings, as Creighton has made another appearance (#24 in the Coaches poll, #25 in the AP Top 25).
