Storm Team 12: Warming trend headed our way

March 03, 2012|By Meteorologist Rodney Price | Storm Team 12

Skies will turn mostly clear this evening as the winds diminish.  Lows will drop to the middle and upper 20s to near the 30 degree mark.

On Sunday, we'll see sunshine and a few high clouds across the area.  Northwest winds will ramp up to 20-30 mph with higher gusts at times.  A much warmer afternoon is on the way though, with highs in the lower to middle 60s!

The warming trend will carry over to the first half of the work week.  Plenty of wind and sunshine will be around again for Monday with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.

Even warmer Spring-like temperatures will be around on Tuesday!  Highs will be in the lower to middle 70s, with more wind and mostly sunny skies.

A mid-week storm system will bring a chance of showers and even a few thunderstorms to Kansas.
