The Shocker baseball team lost the second game of a three-game series against the Tulane Green Wave, 7-2, on Saturday afternoon at Eck Stadium.
Starting pitcher Albert Minnis pitched 6.2 innings for the Shockers, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out one in a losing effort.
Taylor Doggett went two-for-three with two walks.
The Wave got on the board first in the fourth inning. A single by Blake Crohan scored Brandon Boudreaux, then, in the next at-bat, Sean Potkay hit a three-run homerun over the left field wall to put Tulane up, 4-0.
The Shockers had the bases loaded in the sixth, but were only able to score one run on a Dayne Parker sacrifice fly that scored Taylor Doggett, to put the score at 4-1.
In the seventh, Erik Harbutz would cut into the lead a little more when he singled to left field to score Tyler Coughenour, putting the score at 4-2.
