The brackets were announced during the CBS Selection Show on Sunday evening.
Wichita State
No. 5 seed Wichita State will play No. 12 seed VCU in Portland, OR on Thursday.

The Shockers finished the regular season with a 27-5 record, winning the Missouri Valley title. Gregg Marshall's team lost in the semi-final round of the MVC Tournament to Illinois State.
K-State
No. 8 seed Kansas State will play No. 9 seed Southern Mississippi in Pittsburgh, PA on Thursday.

The Wildcats finished the regular season with a 21-10 record, going 10-8 in the Big 12. K-State was eliminated from the Big 12 Tournament after also losing to Baylor in the quarterfinals.
