March 15, 2012|By GRANT MEECH | KWCH 12 Eyewitness Sports

K-Stateis a dangerous team in the NCAA Tournament. So is Southern Mississippi.

The Golden Eagles are a legitamite scoring team from Conference USA and are looking to shock the Wildcats from the Big 12 in their first trip to the NCAA's in 21 years.

K-State is a an amazing rebound team and are second in the Big 12 to only Kansas. That will be their biggest strength against the Golden Eagles.

They compare Southern Miss to Mizzou and K-State topped them twice this season. K-State is huge. The Golden Eagles noticed that and can't find an advantage in terms of size, hoping to run past them on the court.

The Wildcats are carrying a chip on their shoulder, which is typical, but against Southern Miss - they must establish themselves as the underdog again or at least, the tougher team in the matchup.

The Golden Eagles will bring their A-game. The question is - will the 'Cats? Likelihood yes, but who knows.
