March 20, 2012|By Meteorologist Ross Janssen | Storm Team 12

The slow moving storm system hanging over the central and southern Plains will continue to provide Kansas with much needed moisture, including those areas in western Kansas.

While it will not rain continuously for the next 2 days, there will be on and off showers scattered over the state. Lows tonight will be near 40 in the west, with lows near 50 in southcentral Kansas.

Clouds and rain showers will continue on Wednesday with afternoon highs in the upper 50s east, but will only reach to around 50 for those areas in the west.

There will still be a chance for scattered rain showers on Thursday as the main storm system wobbles over Kansas. Temperatures are expected to be cooler than average (highs in the low - mid 50s) with light winds regionwide.
