Another weak cold front will make its way across Kansas from west to east Thursday sparking more late afternoon and evening storms.
Areas of fog will blanket northwest Kansas early Thursday but lift or burn-off by noon or earlier. The western third Kansas will be rain and storm-free Thursday under a partly cloudy sky with afternoon highs in the mid to upper-70s.
Thursday will start out dry but scattered storms will develop by late afternoon and linger into the evening hours. The best bet for scattered storms will be found over central and eastern Kansas where there is a slight risk of severe weather, (one inch hail and 60 mph winds with the stronger storms).
Afternoon highs over the east will climb into the low to mid-80s Thursday.
Friday, look for lighter winds, a mix of clouds and sun and temperatures in the mid-70s to near 80 degrees statewide.
Afternoon highs will stay unusually warm, in the upper-70s to mid-80s, through the weekend.
