(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita police took part in a seat belt enforcement operation on Wednesday. Patrol South set up officers near Pawnee and Broadway.
123 cars were stopped. 118 tickets were handed out for adult seat belt violations, five more tickets were given for child passenger violations.
In addition to those tickets, officers issued citations to four drivers who had license violations, 18 who had no proof of insurance and one with an open container.
Patrol east is doing a seat belt enforcement project Friday night, though they haven't said where.
The enforcement projects are funded through a grant from KDOT.
