One arrested after fatal stabbing early Saturday morning

(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita police say a 63-year-old man is in custody after a man was stabbed to death early Saturday morning.

Police say the victim, 45-year-old Tyree Colbert, knew the suspect. He was found inside a home on N. Ash with a stab wound to the chest.

Investigators say the victim and suspect got into an argument inside the home, and during the fight, the suspect grabbed a knife.

After the incident, the suspect called 911 from a nieghbor's house.

The suspect was booked on suspicion of second degree murder. The case will be turned over to the district attorney, who will determine what charges to file.

Investigators say an argument led to a Wichita man's death.

Police were called to a home near 1st street North and Ash around three Saturday morning.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim dead inside. Investigators say two males got into an argument that escalated into a physical altercation.

Police say the victim is in his 30's and died from a knife wound.

Police took the suspect, a man in his 60's, into custody after treating minor injuries at a Wichita hospital. The incident is under investigation.
