Belleville man dies in Republic County crash

(REPUBLIC COUNTY, Kan.) — An elderly Belleville man dies after an accident Monday morning in Republic County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 84-year-old James Roland Duffey was southbound on 120 road northeast of Scandia AROUND 11:50 Monday when he lost control. Investigators say Duffey's pick-up went into a ditch and rolled.

The KHP says Duffey died at the scene. Investigators say they are not sure if he was wearing a seat belt. No one else was involved in the accident.
