Storm Team 12: More wet cool weather

April 03, 2012|By Meteorologist Mark Larson | Storm Team 12

A slow moving cold front will stall out over southeastern Kansas Tuesday producing scattered showers and iosolated storms throughout the day. A few storms over eastern Kansas could produce small hail Tuesday but widespread severe weather is not likely.

Extensive cloud cover coupled with northerly winds and wet conditions will make for a very cool day with afternoon highs in the 50s west to 60s central and east.

The upper-level storm system bringing our weather changes this week will sit and spin over the central Plains through Wednesday into early Thursday meaning more gray skies and occasional showers through at least midweek.

Friday will be breezy and warmer under a partly cloudy sky as highs soar back into the mid to upper-70s. Friday night will bring another chance of showers or storms followed by dry weather for most of our Easter weekend.
