April 04, 2012|by Brian Heap | KWCH 12 Eyewitness News

(GREAT BEND, Kan.) — Text messages remained the focus of testimony for Adam Longoria's trial Wednesday.   KBI agent Stephanie Smith spent most of the day testifying about text messages and phone records.  Longoria is on trial accused of killing 14-year-old DeBolt.

Longoria met DeBolt in July of 2010.  He sent dozens of text messages over a one month period. Below is a list of some of the texts.

  • "Send me a pic hot stuff"
  • "Am I too old for you"
  • "You don't love me anymore and I'm 25" (he was 36-years-old)
  • "Think your a great girl and have everything going for yourself"
  •  "Wake up Sleeping Beauty"

Smith says Longoria texted over and over again, including this exchange. Longoria: "Damn that is cool, wouldn't think a girl like you would want to anything with me." DeBolt: "Why?" " Longoria: "Cause your hot and awesome and don't see myself as your type or in your league. So be honest with me, what do you think of me?" DeBolt: "I don't really know you but you seem like a nice guy."

Longoria's girlfriend Eva Brown intercepted some of the texts. She texted DeBolt and told her to leave Longoria alone.  Longoria responded saying, "she's not my wife, don't pay attention to her."  He continued texting,  "why don't you want to talk to me?  Do you want to party?"

At one point DeBolt sent a message saying "when are we going to party again?" Longoria responded and texted "when do you want to and are you going to be my date?"

On August 21, 2010, the night DeBolt disappeared Longoria texted her "five bottles, five cases of beer, there will be lots of people."  Around 11 p.m. he  texted, "I'm here."

That's the time DeBolt left her mom's house for a party, promising to return at midnight.  Days later her body was found burned beyond recognition at the asphalt plant where Longoria worked.

Wednesday was the fifth day of the trial.  Testimony will continue Thursday morning at 10 o'clock.
