Driver sentenced in crash that killed Clearwater girl

(WICHITA, Kan.) — A man involved in an accident that killed a 5-year-old Clearwater girl has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison.

Ronald Bevan was convicted in January of aggravated battery and involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence. On Wednesday, he was sentenced to 186 months in prison.

He was racing another man, Matthew Noel, on Kellogg when Noel lost control of his vehicle and collided with another vehicle

The crash killed Amber Randolph and injured her mother Michelle.

Noel's trial ended in a hung jury in January. His new trial is scheduled for May.
