April 04, 2012|By Meteorologist Mark Larson | Storm Team 12

A slow moving storm system over Kansas and Oklahoma will bring more chances of rain to Kansas Wednesday.

Scattered showers and a few isolated storms will continue to pinwheel their way around the spinning storm system as it works over southern Kansas this afternoon. Cloud cover, northerly winds and wet conditions will make it a very cool day especially out west where afternoon highs will only be in the upper 40s and 50s west. Central and eastern parts of our state will only be a bit warmer with highs in low to mid-60s.

Look for stubborn clouds and areas of fog Thursday morning but some sun could shine through breaks in the gray skies by Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will a bit milder Thursday with most of the state in the low to mid 60s for highs.

Friday will be breezy and warmer under a partly cloudy sky as highs soar back into the low to mid-70s.

Friday night will bring another chance of showers or storms followed by dry weather for most of Easter weekend.
