A very chilly night is expected across the Sunflower State as an area of high pressure settles overhead. We'll have mostly clear skies and dry air in place, so expect some areas of frost late tonight and into mid-morning. The coldest temperatures will be found in northern and western Kansas, where lows will drop to the lower to middle 30s! If you have some potted plants outdoors, you might want to bring them indoors or cover them up. For Wichita, we expect a low near 40 degrees, with upper 30s for Hutchinson and Newton.
Your Easter Sunday will be off to a chilly start but it will be nice and mild for the afternoon. As skies turn sunny, we expect highs in the middle to upper 60s to near the 70 degree mark.
An isolated storm is possible late Sunday night into Monday morning in southwest Kansas. Some of this may drift along the Kansas-Oklahoma border during the day Monday.
Increasing storm chances will be on the way for the mid to late week period.
