April 08, 2012|By Meteorologist Ross Janssen | Storm Team 12

It should be rather quiet overnight in Kansas but thunderstorm chances will return for Monday afternoon in a few locations.

Skies will generally be clear or mostly clear overnight with a chance for frost north of I-70. Lows will dip down into the 30s for northern Kansas, with low to mid 40s elsewhere.

Southwest and parts of southcentral Kansas will have a chance to see some spotty showers or storms Monday afternoon. Severe weather is not likely, but a few of the storms may have small hail and heavy downpours. Look for highs to be in the 60s on Monday with some lower 70s along the KS/OK state line.

Storm chances will end Monday evening with clouds sticking around into Tuesday.

Sunshine may be rather limited on Tuesday with highs in the mid to upper 60s. It will look like rain on Tuesday, but the chances for measurable precipitation are rather low throughout the day.
