April 10, 2012|By Meteorologist Ross Janssen | Storm Team 12

It will be rather cool tonight with a chance for frost in northeast Kansas and much of the upper midwest. Lows will dip down into the upper 30s for northeast Kansas, but the rest of the state should be spared from a killing frost.

There will be a chance for isolated showers and storms in southwest Kansas overnight, while everyone else will remain dry.

Skies will generally be cloudy or mostly cloudy for Wednesday with a few isolated showers or storms in southwest Kansas. Southeast winds will be picking up through the day with gusts over 35 mph likely.

Strong thunderstorms are possible in western Kansas Thursday afternoon. Central and eastern Kansas will have the chance for strong thunderstorms by Friday and Saturday. Stay tuned.
