(DICKINSON COUNTY, Kan) — A rancher in Dickinson County has quite the problem on his hands after two dozen bison ran from home Sunday.
The rancher says he cannot get the herd back and they keep moving east without anything standing in their way.
The roaming bison have become a popular thing to track as locals are picking up their cameras and following this unique situation as it unfolds.
Camera in hand and eyes wide open, Max Wendell set out this week to get close enough to the herd Mission accomplished, Wendell landed over twenty images of the herd as it continues to move wherever it pleases.
“I put just the pictures on Facebook; this proves that buffalo still roam in Kansas”, says Wendell.
Eyewitness News discovered the bison Friday in a clearing in central Kansas near the town of Woodbine.
The rancher who owns the bison says something spooked the group on Sunday causing them to run through two barbed wire fences and head east. Bison are known for being a generally stubborn group.
